Technical Project Manager - Cloud Migration (Insurance)

Job description


Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for leading the technical modernization project and work collaboratively with vendor, Infra, offshore development team to orchestrate the project activities.
· Project planning and execution: Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets. Oversee execution and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
· Stakeholder management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
· Technical leadership: Collaborate with Architects and Technical teams to create migration plan and ensuring compatibility and performance optimization in clouds
· Team co-ordination: Lead cross functional teams, including external vendors, developers, testers, and operations staff to ensure successful project delivery.
· Documentation and reporting: maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular status reports to management and stakeholders
· Quality Assurance: Ensure that the migration process adheres to best practices and quality standards, conducting thorough testing before final deployment
· Change management: Mange change requests effectively, ensuring all changes are documented and approved by stakeholders

Qualifications
· Education: Bacher's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. PMP/CSM or equivalent certification is preferred.
· Experience: At least 8 years of working experience in IT project implementation covering data migration, tech currency upgrade, legacy system migration to cloud project and preferably at least 2 years on cloud migration projects.
· Technical skills: strong understand of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and legacy systems. Familiarity with data migration tools and methodologies
· Project management tools: Proficiency in project management software e.g. Jira and collaboration tool e.g. Confluence
· Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
· Problem solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
