Supply Chain Manager (Buying Office | 45 - 55k)

Job description

My client is a steadily expanding sourcing office. Looking to enhance their supply chain function, they are now in search of a Supply Chain Manager.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and refine demand forecasts, align with supplier production capabilities, and proactively address potential supply constraints.
  • Optimize stock levels to balance cost, service levels, and lead times, preventing overstock and shortages.
  • Oversee global logistics from origin to destination, working with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure efficient shipping and customs compliance.
  • Manage third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs, cost efficiency, and continuous performance improvements.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to streamline supply chain operations, improve visibility, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Identify supply chain risks, implement contingency plans, and ensure compliance with trade regulations and internal policies.
  • Work closely with sourcing, finance, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.

To qualify, one must possess

  • Degree holder with at least 8 years of international supply chain management experience
  • Experience within a buying office or a trading company
  • SQL, Power BI, Tableau or Python user would be a plus
  • Six sigma or PMP certified would be a plus
  • Experience working with suppliers or manufacturers in China
  • Strong communication skills, responsible and problem solving mentality
  • Strong command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
