Senior Merchandiser (Apparel | 30 - 35k)

My client is market leading ready to wear brand. Looking to enhance their merchandising function, they are now in search of a Senior Merchandiser.

Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with product development and design teams to source and develop seasonal fabric collections aligned with brand direction and market trends.
• Manage end-to-end fabric development lifecycle - from concept to bulk production.
• Identify and build strong partnerships with fabric mills and suppliers across Asia and globally.
• Negotiate pricing, minimums, lead times, and delivery terms to meet cost and timeline targets.
• Ensure fabric performance, testing compliance, and sustainability standards are met.
• Monitor market trends, fabric innovations, and new technologies, integrating relevant insights into seasonal plans.
• Collaborate with internal sourcing, QA, and production teams to resolve fabric issues proactively.

To qualify, one must possess

• Associate Degree holder with at least 4 years of fabric merchandising experience
• Experience working with suppliers within the garment industry
• Immediately available would be an advantage
• Team player mentality with good communication skills
• Proficient command in both written and spoken Chinese and English
