Network Engineer - Financial Services - Hong Kong

A top tier global Financial Services firm is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of Data Centre/ Server Room/ Hub Room/ IT Room facilities
  • You will liaise with various parties such as contractors, engineers and technical staff for facility management services and fitting out project
  • You will handle the process of budgeting, tendering and supervision for customer's project, major repairing and maintenance work
  • You will prepare method statement and working procedure
  • You will assist equipment setup and decommission in the rack
  • You will perform evaluation, monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting on network devices and services.
  • You will perform Level 3 Incident handling and escalation to upper tier
  • You will oversee delivery of infrastructure setup, including data/voice network setup, server rooms, servers, WiFi, security appliances, IP CCTV, IP Phone and structural cabling
  • You will review and manage ICT documentations, perform UAT and formulate reports on projects progress, problems, and solutions
  • You will update equipment inventory management system and rack information.
  • You will perform vendor co-ordination, arrange onsite access
  • You will assist to handle in-house on-site services and supervise the performance of in-house technical staff

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in relevant IT infrastructure roles
  • At least 3 years I.T. support, networking and field service hand on working experience
  • Experience in Windows operation an advantage
  • Experience in supporting and servicing enterprise infrastructure environment.
  • Understanding of data centre concepts (Space, Power, Cooling)
  • Understanding of IT network concepts (Router, Switch, Circuit, Cable)
  • Willing to perform Off Office hours/ Over time duties (including Weekends and Holidays).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
