IT / Digital Business Analyst

Job description

Job duties:

  • Assist Delivery Manager in managing and overseeing delivery of production releases.
  • Work closely with Product Owner and Business Analysts to understand business and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure implementation consistency across channels.
  • Work closely with development team and testing resources to ensure that implementation adheres to requirements.
  • Define and communicate system requirements to relevant development teams, including upstream and downstream systems.
  • Define test requirements, test scope and test schedule.
  • Lead process of test case and test data preparation, as well as test execution.
  • Regularly report test results to working team, team lead and relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform sanity check and support on post-production checks, including occasional overnight and public holiday work (e.g. midnight to 4am once to twice a month).

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of work experience, with minimum 3 years of solution delivery in an IT role.
  • Possess insurance background, ideally in New Business POS/eApplication, with knowledge in FNA and the whole insurance application journey.
  • Solid experience and able to work closely with offshore development teams.
  • Solid experience in solution delivery, managing requirements gathering, development and testing phases.
  • Hands-on experience in test case preparation, test execution, defect management and test reporting.
  • Able to translate requirements into a test plan with sufficient coverage.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Pro-active personality with effective communications skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese and English.
