Head of Trade Finance and Payment Client Service

Job description

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trade finance and cash management products, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing and developing financial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the trade finance and cash management departments, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support business growth and client needs in both trade finance and cash management.
  • Oversee the structuring and execution of trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, guarantees, and trade loans.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and optimise cash utilisation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients on trade finance and cash management matters.
  • Monitor market trends and developments to identify new opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives and improve overall business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in trade finance and cash management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of trade finance and cash management products and services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong network within the trade finance and banking industry.
