General Manager (Sales | Chemical Industry)

Job description

My client is a fast growing Chemical company with established brand and mature distribution network in Hong Kong and the region. They are now inviting a seasoned commercial leader to head up and drive the growth plan of their Hong Kong business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the profit and loss of the Hong Kong Business, with a focus on achieving revenue targets and maximizing profitability.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive business growth and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners, fostering long-term partnerships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborate with headquarters functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of business objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 15+ years in sales management within the Chemical and Adhesive industry, with a focus on the Hong Kong market.
  • Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and managing profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a sales team to deliver outstanding results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
