Equities Business Analyst (FO) - 1-yr renewable contract
Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Support Front Office Project Team to develop and implement solution for trading on global equity market and research area
- Discuss with front office, middle office and research business users for their requirements and transform them into documentation like business requirement documentation and user acceptance test plan
- Analyze the business requirements and proposes high level solution for the implementation
- Work and coordinate with development team on the design and implementation, and help to clarify the business requirements with the business users
- Ensuring risks and issues in processes are identified, reported and escalated to project manager
- Efficiently track, monitor and report business performance and perform business analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
- Assist testing team for test cases preparation and performs review and validation
- Coordinate and assist user acceptance team with business users and clarify the gap between business requirements and implementation
- Report project status and situation to project manager in regular basis, and to facilitate better decision making by project manager and senior management
Skills and Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 3 years experiences and solid knowledge on cash equity front office trading system like OMS and EMS with different exchange connectivity
- Nice to have these knowledge, skill and experiences on UL Bridge and Sybase
- Solid knowledge of equity business and flow, especially on Asia markets and equity cash EMS/OMS technology (sell side or buy side), hands-on trading support experience will be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of Linux platform and good knowledge on Excel, SQL and FIX Protocol
- Proven problem solving, analytical and process improvement skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Chinese (Cantonese), Mandarin and Japanese will be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, and task oriented approach. Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- At least 3 years working experience in Investment Banking or Securities Trading industry with relevant exposure to business analysis and support of equities trading applications.
- Self-learner and multi-tasking, with strong analytical and problem solving skills, solution oriented with proven results
- Good team player and can work independently with minimal guidance
