Job description

Our Clients seeking a seasoned regulatory professional to lead and manage regulatory engagement. As the Director of Regulatory Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in aligning regulatory communications, fostering trust with authorities, and ensuring the organization remains well-informed and compliant with evolving regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a unified regulatory engagement framework across the organization to ensure a consistent and transparent approach.
  • Facilitate interactions between regulators and internal leadership teams, ensuring strategic alignment and clear communication.
  • Monitor and manage regulatory correspondence, addressing any issues raised by regulators.
  • Track emerging regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on the business, customers, and products.
  • Provide strategic regulatory insights, advising senior management on compliance priorities and regulatory expectations.
  • Manage post-event actions, including responding to management letters from regulators and tracking the implementation of required changes.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports to senior management and boards, covering key regulatory developments and risks.
  • Ensure prompt escalation of compliance issues to management, enabling proactive risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate regulatory requests, examinations, and periodic monitoring reviews, ensuring seamless processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure effective regulatory information exchange.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or risk management within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations
  • Proven experience engaging with regulatory authorities and managing high-level regulatory discussions.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting high-impact regulatory reports and policies.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and strategic, with sound judgment under pressure.
  • Ability to proactively and assertively address complex regulatory challenges.
