Bank Systems Specialist, COBOL

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to define and manage project scope, schedule, costs, and progress to ensure successful implementation.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM mainframe systems using z/OS and CICS COBOL.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues on the IBM mainframe platform.
• Ensure compliance with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct system analysis, design, programming, and testing to meet project requirements and business objectives.
• Provide guidance and support to teams within the banking environment for COBOL-related systems.
• Prepare technical and project documentation in compliance with organizational standards.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables by performing thorough testing and review processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in IT projects, with at least 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
• Strong expertise in IBM mainframe systems, including z/OS, COBOL, and CICS COBOL.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with a mature and professional attitude.
• Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is a plus.
