Application Architect (Java) - Equities ($75-85k + bonus)

My client is a top-notch listed financial institution with strong investment business over equities and derivatives trading.

• Architect and develop low-latency Java-based applications on Linux platform
• Experience in low-latency equity trading platforms / greenfield projects is desired

Responsibilities

• Creates architectural and design documents for complex applications, ensuring software code meets design constraints.
• Develops and troubleshoots software solutions, employing innovative approaches to solve technical issues.
• Writes secure, high-quality production code and ensures algorithms function seamlessly with relevant systems.
• Participates in code reviews and shares knowledge with team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information System or relevant
• 8+ years of work experience in software engineering in Java-based applications
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability
• Domain knowledge in equities trading is a definite advantage
• Prior experience in low-latency equity trading platforms / greenfield projects is desired
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of high performance and delivery.
• Excellent communication in Chinese and English
